WHAT DOES HAPPINESS MEAN TO ME?

What does it mean? I guess the answer to this has a multiple choice as it is a subjective feeling.
Last Friday, one of the most specials within my favorites finally landed in my city, to come to my home club.
Being a fan of one of these gifted and generous creators, did not happen to me for already a long time. My contact was ruled by the professional politeness, surveilled by the caring respect I feel for the work they do just to generously share with anyone ready to feel it.
Being just a fan again for a change has been so comforting…
Ever since I found my music sounds, longer than what I am ready to admit, I was taught a way to manage the night, searching for something different, the inner fun.
Over the years, the popularize of this talent has grown to an activity all teenagers wish to covet. Technology innovation and development has helped to make it easier for all these youngsters be in “The Popular Level” of attention they are looking for: the selfie addiction, girls, …
Unfortunately, they forget the most important, the essence.
As an Electronic Music fan and consumer, I was extremely lucky with all the ones I had around so I was exquisitely well educated.
Having a good conversation about this and finding someone having this reversion to the real fun and joy, is also becoming very rare. So, the ones that have been there since then, tend to over explain this way of perceiving creativity…
Marc, you brought me all this again. Being able to get over a flu and have fun with your own game… I can see that rebellious kids face you involuntarily get and this is the fantastic message I receive.
This is the real meaning of happiness to me.
Happiness that gives me the power and balance for life.
Feeling this way is not payable anyhow and I will owe this admiration and respect to you (and the ones alike) always.
If you had up to just the 10% of the fun I did… I am more than happy enough!!

Thank you, Marc, and I really hope this will happen soon again!!

MARC HOULE @ ROBOT ELECTRONIC CLUB (Fever Bilbao)... Finally!!!

Marc Houle is here, in Bilbao, finally!!
His career in sound creativity is soooo long… his composition list that keeps on growing nonstop. This makes him one of the most prolific creators of the electronic sound innovation and development in the electronic history.
After having met several times in “working mode”, this will be my 1st time as a fan in my home Club & City.
I was honored to work around him in several occasions and now, I will have the chance to get out from that “suit” to leave my inner self alone.
Leave it to the external stimulus of his sound to have and prepare for an involuntary reaction of dancing movement.
All that, in an incomparable space, the Guggenheim Museum, with the “ART AFTER DARK”, only to begin with.
But the development of his work will be in a club I know very well (Fever Club Bilbao). Magic will happen in the electronic “Blue Room” within the philosophy of ROBOT ELECTRONIC CLUB. Some of my most dedicated mentors are responsible for all this.

They make me who I am and I will always owe them all my respect and admiration. And patient… with this beginner that keeps on trying to learn a bit from all of you!!!

As lucky as I am, this is going to happen again on Friday with one of my favorites, Mr Marc Houle. All the fan joy for me, this time.

Thank you both, Fever_Robot Electronic Club, for giving me all these years of inner balance and highest education!!!

MARC HOULE

Techno veteran Marc Houle continues wowing audiences with a live performance that is constantly evolving night after night, in city after city, at clubs and festivals worldwide.
The skills and effort that goes into creating these truly “live” sets is the result of an entire lifetime dedicated to electronic music and a deep love of the machines that make it.
Raised adjacent to Detroit in Windsor, Ontario, in the same fertile music community that spawned his former label boss and mentor Richie Hawtin, Houle’s obsession with electronic sounds goes back to the noise of ’80s video games and vintage synthesizers. And while too many electronic artists use their machines as merely tools of convenience, Houle regards his with a dedication found in few producers.
The results have been extraordinary. A decade-long career of seminal records on Hawtin’s Minus label, as well as his own Items & Things imprint, that not only helped define the beloved minimal sound of the mid-‘00s (“On It”), but had a laugh at its expense (“Techno Vocals”), before transcending the limits of the sub-genre completely by incorporating industrial, disco and new wave influences (“Undercover”).
No wonder Houle’s records have found their way into the crates of DJs far-flung from his typical list of peers. How many producers can create a track as adaptable as “Bay of Figs,” an underground club favorite favored by his Items & Things partner and star techno DJ Magda that also managed to find its way into the hearts of stadium-trance audiences via megastar DJ Tiësto.
Ironically, even though DJs of all sorts play Marc’s records, you won’t find Houle delivering a DJ set any time soon. A committed live performer, he arrives at each gig equipped six superb albums worth of material (like last year’s playful Cola Party), plus dozens of favorite singles, remixes and collaborations (including his 2013 partnerships with Miss Kittin, “Where Is Kittin” and Click Box, “Razzamatazz.”). And then there is the steady stream of new music - whether it's a brand new tune from Houle's home studio, or a remix of a classic cut (like those found on the 10-year anniversary remix of his Restore album by Joris Voorn, Popof, Julian Jeweil and Danny Daze).

No matter what time or tempo, Marc Houle has exactly the right Marc Houle tunes needed for the nightclub, after party or festival stage.
